SSRE 2026 Pre-Conference for Early-Career Researchers
Topic: Publish successfully
Publishing successfully is a key aspect of an academic career, including during doctoral studies. This year's SGBF pre-conference is dedicated to this topic and addresses questions such as: How do I choose a suitable publication format or journal? What do editors and reviewers look for? How do I organize a special issue? What are the potential obstacles and helpful strategies for successful publishing?
Three editors-in-chief of relevant journals will give short keynote speeches providing insight into the peer review process, offering recommendations, and sharing their experiences. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss key aspects of successful publishing. The discussions in groups and in plenary will be facilitated by the organizing team of the SGBF Pre-Conference 2026. The pre-conference also offers a great opportunity to expand your network and engage in exchange with other early-career researchers and experienced education researchers.
Early-career researchers from all language regions of Switzerland are invited to attend the SGBF Pre-Conference. The keynote speeches will be held in English. Questions and input are also welcome in German and French.
